Privacy Policy

SunRadar shows you which terraces across the Netherlands are in the sun. We built it to collect as little data as possible: no account, no advertising, no analytics, no trackers.

Your location

With your permission, SunRadar uses your location to show your position on the map and to calculate distances to terraces. Your location is processed only on your device and is never stored on or sent to our servers.

Feedback reports ("Is this wrong?")

If you voluntarily report that a sun status is incorrect, we store an anonymous report: the terrace name and coordinates, what the app showed, what you observed, and the weather classification at that moment. Reports contain no account, name, or device identifier and are used solely to improve the sun calculation.

Stored on your device only

Your favorite terraces and language preference are stored locally on your device and never leave it.

Third parties

• Supabase hosts our terrace database and receives the anonymous feedback reports. As with any internet service, its servers may temporarily process your IP address to deliver the connection.
• Open-Meteo provides weather data (sunshine, cloud cover). We request this for the map area you're viewing, rounded to a grid of roughly 20 km — your precise location is never sent.
• Buienradar provides real-time rain radar data. We request this for the same rounded area, to detect nearby rain without sending your precise location.
• Apple Maps (iOS) / Google Maps (Android) render the map. Map tiles are loaded from their servers as you move the map, subject to their privacy policies.

Privacybeleid

SunRadar laat zien welke terrassen door heel Nederland in de zon liggen. De app is gebouwd om zo min mogelijk gegevens te verzamelen: geen account, geen advertenties, geen analytics, geen trackers.

Je locatie

Met jouw toestemming gebruikt SunRadar je locatie om je positie op de kaart te tonen en de afstand tot terrassen te berekenen. Je locatie wordt alleen op je eigen toestel verwerkt en nooit opgeslagen op of verstuurd naar onze servers.

Meldingen ("Klopt dit niet?")

Meld je vrijwillig dat een zon-status niet klopt, dan bewaren we een anonieme melding: de terrasnaam en -coördinaten, wat de app toonde, wat jij zag, en de weersclassificatie van dat moment. Meldingen bevatten geen account, naam of toestel-kenmerk en worden uitsluitend gebruikt om de zonberekening te verbeteren.

Alleen op je toestel

Je favoriete terrassen en taalkeuze worden lokaal op je toestel opgeslagen en verlaten het nooit.

Derde partijen

• Supabase host onze terrassendatabase en ontvangt de anonieme meldingen. Zoals bij elke internetdienst kan hun server je IP-adres tijdelijk verwerken om de verbinding mogelijk te maken.
• Open-Meteo levert weergegevens (zon, bewolking). We vragen dit op voor het kaartgebied dat je bekijkt, afgerond op een gebied van ongeveer 20 km — jouw precieze locatie wordt nooit meegestuurd.
• Buienradar levert actuele neerslagradar-gegevens. We vragen dit op voor hetzelfde afgeronde gebied, om regen in de buurt te detecteren zonder je precieze locatie te versturen.
• Apple Kaarten (iOS) / Google Maps (Android) tonen de kaart. Kaarttegels worden van hun servers geladen terwijl je de kaart beweegt, onder hun eigen privacybeleid.
